I'm a 43 years old girl from Muurame, which is a small town (population roughly 10000 people) located next to Jyväskylä (a bigger city). Just a few months ago I still lived in Jyväskylä, but as I got tired of listening the sounds of morning rush hour accompanied with ambulance sirens, I decided to move to the "countryside".

Living in the countruside comes with a few great benefits. I have a lake view from my kitchen and livingroom windows. The skiing tracks practically begin form my front door. The beach is not far away, and quite seldom it is crowded. The grocery opens at 7am and is open even on sundays. And it won't take more than 15 minutes to drive to work. Not too bad, considering to be living in the country :)

I like the finnish summer. I like riding along the highways on the bicycle and on warm nights I enjoy listening the mosquitos swarming around my tent while I sleep inside comfortably. In winter I keep myself warm by skiing in the nature, or simply by wrapping myself inside warm blankets and looking back to the hot beaches in southern Europe.
